Member Spotlight: Brandon Johnson, Selma AmeriCorps Program Member

Meet Brandon Johnson, AmeriCorps Team Leader, currently serving with Payne Elementary School, a service site of the Selma AmeriCorps program.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because my brother was a part of AmeriCorps. My brother and my mother thought it would be a good opportunity for me. I checked it out and agreed.

2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I would like to do something good with my time, tutor students who need help, and to receive a stipend for me to just focus on service this year.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2019-20 program year? During this program year, my service will focus on being an effective team leader to the best of my abilities.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps? I have no definite plans as of right now.

Thank you for your service, Brandon!
