Member Spotlight: Banks Baker, Student Conservation Association AmeriCorps Program
Meet Banks Baker, SCA Member, currently serving in Mobile, AL, a service site of the AmeriCorps Conservation Corps AmeriCorps Program.
Members will protect, restore, and enhance public lands and waters through activities like invasive plant removal, trail creation, and native planting along coastal Alabama habitats.
What will your service focus on this year? Project work focusing on environmental restoration and increasing public access to nature, invasive plant management, fire line maintenance, and built board walks.
What inspired you to serve as an AmeriCorps member? I saw the opportunity on Indeed and thought it looked cool.
What advice would you give someone interested in serving with your AmeriCorps State program? It’s a cool gig, you'll probably do things you didn’t expect but it is fun.

A seemingly ordinary stretch of road can become difficult when the ball approaches it from an unexpected angle. Players experience this challenge in slope, where the track demands both accurate positioning and quick reactions. The floating platforms create a constant sense of danger beneath the moving ball. Red barriers add another obstacle to an already demanding journey. Learning to control movement more consistently can help players achieve longer and more successful runs.
I like how Snow Rider combines quick reactions with a relaxing winter atmosphere. Cold Rider has a similar fast-paced feeling, although Snow Rider feels more casual to me.
