The Governor's Office of Volunteer Services and AmeriCorps are pleased to announce the availability of federal funds to support new, recompete, and continuation Alabama AmeriCorps State applicants to start in September or October 2026.

Nonprofit organizations, community and faith-based organizations, institutions of higher education, state and local government agencies, Indian Tribes, and partnerships among these groups in Alabama are eligible to apply for funds to operate local AmeriCorps programs that meet locally identified needs in the areas of disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, veterans and military families and rural communities.
