Member Spotlight: Alex Hill, ANFRC AmeriCorps member

Meet Alex Hill, serving with the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers AmeriCorps program at the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement.

What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? This is my 2nd year serving. I decided to reapply because AmeriCorps has opened so many doors for me.

What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I would like to gain a sense of responsibility and experience in the teaching field.

What will your service focus on for the 2017-18 program year? My focus is working with a local after school program tutoring and mentoring them.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps? I plan to go to Auburn University to pursue a degree in Special Education.
