Why did you join AmeriCorps?

"I joined AmeriCorps to continue a tradition of service that’s existed on both sides of my family for generations."

What is your favorite part of national service?

"My fellow YWCA AmeriCorps members. The camaraderie is fantastic, and it really helps to know that I’m a part of a bigger community of people who are serving."

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not serving?

"I like to sit out on my porch and read a good book, or go for a bike ride in my neighborhood."

What’s your favorite snack?

"I hardly snack anymore, but I guess I’d have to say bananas."

What’s your favorite soda?

"Of course, Birmingham’s own Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale!"

What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

"I’m not sure, but I do know that I want it to be something where I feel like I’m enriching the world and the lives of others."
