Member Spotlight: Emilee Smith, ANFRC AmeriCorps member


Meet Emilee Smith, serving with the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers AmeriCorps program at Clanton Elementary School/YMCA service site.

What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because of the community service. I also like traveling and meeting new people.

What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I would like to gain experience working with children. This experience will help with my future job.

What will your service focus on for the 2018-2019 program year? My service will focus on serving kids of all ages.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps? My plans after AmeriCorps is to graduate with a degree in Elementary Education. After I complete my degree, I will seek a position to work in the Chilton County School Systems working in preschool K-4 program teaching students.
