The Governor's Office of Volunteer Services and AmeriCorps are pleased to announce the availability of federal funds to support new, recompete, and continuation Alabama AmeriCorps State applicants to start in October 2023.

ALL New, Continuation, and Recompete applicants must select a program year start date of October 1, 2023, for the 2023-24 program year.

Read the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and Application Instructions before submitting an application to ensure you understand all requirements completely. 

The grant timeline is located in the NOFO. Read 1sT!!


The  AL AmeriCorps State Grant Application in eGrants will not be available until Mid-January - 2023.

You will need the application IDs to access the NOFA: FY 2023 AmeriCorps State and Territory Commission (New and Continuations) grant application in eGrants. Please check back to see when the IDs are Available.

Multi-State AmeriCorps Programs

Organizations that intend to operate an AmeriCorps program in more than one state or territory must apply directly to AmeriCorps, the federal agency that administers AmeriCorps and other national service programs in the United States.
 

Prior to submitting an application, multi-state applicants must consult with the Commissions of the states in which they intend to operate. Multi-state organizations proposing to operate in Alabama should consult with the Alabama State Service Commission by submitting the National Direct Consultation Form.
