Member Spotlight: Eden Williamson, AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team Member

Meet Eden Williamson, currently serving at McKenzie School, in the AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? A close friend who served as a member with AmeriCorps motivated me to join.

2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I want experience working with the school system and working in a classroom setting.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2019-2020 program year? I will be providing direct support to economically disadvantaged children in grades K-2 in order to improve performance in literacy and/or math as measured by pre- and post- standardized tests to demonstrate improved academic performance.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps? I plan to get my art degree and become an art teacher.
