Why did you join AmeriCorps?

"I joined Teach For America AmeriCorps because I knew I wanted to be an educator, but I also wanted to join an organization that was focused on the fight for educational equity. I also knew I did not want to become an educator by the typical route because I wanted an opportunity to explore a different major and learn more about the history of the community with which I was going to be working."

What is your favorite part of national service?

"I enjoy the community and potential impact national service allows its members to have."

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not serving?

"I really like to go hiking and watch Netflix."

What is your favorite snack?

"Chicken Wings."

What is your favorite soda?

"Cherry Coke."

What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

"My plan after my commitment with Teach For America AmeriCorps is to continue to teach."
