"Five AIST members serve at W. O. Parmer Elementary School, Greenville, AL."


What is your organizations goal at this site?

"AmeriCorps members serve in the classroom daily performing intervent activities for rural economically disadvantaged students to achieve benchmark levels in reading and math. After the instructional day, you will find these members assisting in 21st Century Learning Centers at their site and with BCSS athletic teams. 


What is something exciting that has happened at this site?

"AIST members have been “on site” for one week since their Pre-Service Training October 3-11, 2016.  These members had the distinct honor of participating in the Swearing-In Ceremony when their AmeriCorps Pledge was administered by Dr. Kathleen Rubins, NASA Mission Specialist circling 200 miles above earth in space on October 7, 2016."
