What is your organizations goal at this site? "The goal is to work with administrators and teachers to provide high-tech vision screenings for their children, then connect the children who fail with comprehensive follow up care."

What is something exciting that has happened at this site? "This week (October 3-7), AmeriCorps Members will be conducting high-tech vision screenings in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. We will be visiting daycares, Head Start programs, and Office of School Readiness Pre-K centers screening approximately 1,500 children ages 6 months to 5 years old. All children who fail the screening will receive comprehensive follow-up care coordinate by Sight Savers America. Throughout the year, our AmeriCorps Members travel to all 67 counties providing high-tech vision care for preschoolers."
