Member Spotlight: Taeyana Prevo, Selma AmeriCorps Program Member

Meet Taeyana Prevo, AmeriCorps Team Leader, currently serving with Knox Elementary School, a service site of the Selma Americorps program.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because I was told by a former member that the Americorps program was a great program and a great opportunity to serve others in the community.

2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? What I would most like to get from this service opportunity is a deeper knowledge of how the program operates through learning and skill utilization.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2019-2020 program year? During this program year the program will focus on community service projects in the community and tutoring and mentoring in the local schools in the Selma City and Dallas County area.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps? My plan after Americorps is that I want to work in a office one day as a clerk or an office worker.

Thank you for your service, Taeyana!
