Be Ready Camp is an innovative one-of-a-kind disaster preparedness camp from Serve Alabama. Alabama kids entering the 6th grade are eligible for this week long camp. All registration and camp costs are FREE, except travel to and from camp.
WHAT: Be Ready Camp
WHERE: US Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville
WHEN: (2) Sessions in 2012. WEEK ONE: SEPTEMBER 11 - 15, WEEK TWO: SEPTEMBER 18 - 22
SELECTION PROCESS: Open to all Alabama residents who will be in the sixth grade by September 2012. Applicants must submit the following to be eligible:
Submit ONE of the following answer options to the following question:
What does being a part of a safe community mean to me?
Essay: 300 - 500 words in length. Spelling, grammar, punctuation and good paragraph structure apply. Typed or neatly written in ink.
Poster:No larger than 11”x17”. Good use of imagination, color and design. Clearly answers the question.
Video:30 seconds to 1 minute in length. Imaginative, interesting and creative entries are desired. Clearly answers the question.
